What are "current" and "archived" ads?

When browsing localclassies.com.au, by default you are viewing only "current" ads. This means that the ads listed are from the most current issue of the publication they are from, i.e. today's Shepparton News, or the most recent issue of the Riverine Herald. When the next issue of the publication is released, the current ads are deleted and the new ads take its place.

There are some exceptions to this where certain ads will remain "current" for longer than the life of the current issue. For example, ads in the Local Jobs category will remain current for one week from its publication date. Other categories that run as a weekly feature, such as Trades & Services will also remain current for one week after the publication date.

In addition to current ads, there are also "archived" ads. These ads do not appear in the category listings with the current ads, but can be archived via the Advanced Search form on the homepage. Not all ads are archived however. Only certain categories with sentimental value will be archived permanently. These categories include: Birth, Birthday, Deaths, Engagement, In Memoriams, Wedding Congrats, etc.
